Refund & Cancellation Policy
Overview
2D Works provides custom digital video editing and motion graphics services. Because all of our work is custom-created and delivered as digital files, our refund policy reflects the nature of bespoke creative services. We do not sell physical goods, so no return shipping or physical return process applies.
Refund Policy
Before Work Begins — Full Refund
If you cancel your project before any work has started, you will receive a full refund of all amounts paid, including any deposit. Please email us as soon as possible at 2dworks.sl@gmail.com.
After Work Begins — Partial Refund
If you cancel after work has begun but before final delivery, the 50% deposit is non-refundable as it compensates for time already committed and work already performed. If cancellation occurs after more than 75% of the work is complete (as assessed by 2D Works), the full project fee is due.
After Final Delivery — Conditional Refund
If you are dissatisfied with the final deliverable after all included revision rounds have been used, you may be eligible for a partial refund of up to 50% of the project total. Eligibility requires:
- The refund request is submitted within 7 calendar days of final file delivery
- You have used all included revision rounds
- The deliverable materially fails to meet the agreed-upon project scope
Monthly Retainer Plans
Retainer fees are billed monthly in advance. Unused video credits from a given billing month do not roll over and are not refundable. Cancellations take effect from the following billing period (see Cancellation Policy below).
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email us at 2dworks.sl@gmail.com with:
- Subject line: "Refund Request – [Your Full Name] – [Invoice Number]"
- Your invoice or order number
- The project name or description
- A clear description of your issue and why you are requesting a refund
We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and aim to resolve it within 5 business days. Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method via Stripe within 10 business days of approval.
Dispute Resolution
If you are unsatisfied with our response to a refund request, you may escalate the matter through:
- Stripe: As our payment processor, Stripe offers a dispute mechanism. You can initiate a chargeback through your card issuer or bank.
- Consumer Protection: You may also contact applicable consumer protection agencies in your jurisdiction.
We always prefer to resolve disputes directly and amicably before escalation. Please reach out to us first — we are committed to fair outcomes for all clients.
Cancellation Policy
Cancelling a One-Time Project
You may cancel a project at any time by emailing 2dworks.sl@gmail.com. Cancellation terms are determined by the stage at which the cancellation occurs:
- Before work begins: Full refund. No fees charged.
- After work begins, before delivery: Deposit (50%) is non-refundable. No additional charges.
- After 75% completion: Full project fee is due regardless of whether final files have been delivered.
Cancelling a Monthly Retainer
To cancel your monthly retainer plan, you must email us at 2dworks.sl@gmail.com at least 14 calendar days before your next billing date. The retainer will not renew for the following month. No refund is issued for the current billing month that has already been charged.
Cancellation by 2D Works
2D Works may cancel any project due to unforeseen circumstances, resource constraints, or ethical concerns. In such cases, a full refund of all amounts paid will be issued within 10 business days. We will notify you by email promptly.
Note on Physical Goods
2D Works exclusively provides digital services. We do not sell, manufacture, or ship any physical goods. Accordingly, no physical return process, return shipping, or in-person return applies to any of our services.
